Private Dinner with Lucianne Tonti
Welcome Lucianne Tonti to Los Angeles!
Please join Nicholas Brown and me at a private gathering and dinner welcoming Lucianne Tonti to Los Angeles. Lucianne is the fashion editor of The Saturday Paper, the sustainability editor for Elle Australia and a regular contributor to The Guardian where she writes the weekly series Closet Clinic. Her award-winning book Sundressed: Natural Fibres and the Future of Fashion was published in 2022. She is currently at work on a new book, Good Witch Hunting. The evening will be a small gathering of guests working in fashion, textiles, and regenerative systems.
Lucianne is internationally recognized as an investigative fashion journalist, commentator and expert in regenerative fashion systems. She has spoken about the future of the industry in New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, Stockholm, Oslo, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.
Her work is focused on providing hopeful, nature-based solutions to complex problems while holding the industry to account. Her writing also appears in Australian Vogue and The Sydney Morning Herald and she is a regular guest on ABC radio.
Dinner will be prix fixe at Manuela, in a private dining room at Hauser & Wirth, in the Arts District downtown Los Angeles.
Under the direction of Executive Chef Kris Tominaga, the menu celebrates seasonal ingredients sourced from the best farms and producers in Southern California. Serving a wide range of vegetables, grains, fish, and game, Manuela also features an exemplary bar program, which serves classic cocktails using house-made bitters and tonics. The restaurant is illuminated and animated by specially commissioned works from artists Paul McCarthy, Mark Bradford and Raymond Pettibon.
Arrivals 6:30 p.m. || Dinner 7:00 p.m. || $125
