Waste Wool with Amy Dufault, March 4

$15.00

Please join me for an informal lunch time chat with the So Cal Fibershed and my friend special guest Amy Dufault of the SE New England Fibershed. Amy will talk about waste wool and community resilience.

Tuesday, March 4 at 12 noon

on Zoom

The talk is scheduled as part of a larger Slow and Local fiber project, but is intended to be “stand-alone.” May will share about half an hour of context and project notes on her waste wool experience, and then we’ll open for Q&A. When the talk is over, the Slow and Local group will stay on to talk about their respective fibers.

For context, I’ll share a bit here about our framing, and include a link to the full project at the end: We have been thinking about what makes a good life, and how we can continue to move toward hope, to put into practice what we believe in. To care for ourselves we must also care for our soil, our plants, the animals. And we must continue to take action: to vote, to call our elected officials, to change our habits, to educate each other. What else can we do in times of need? Come together to learn, support, and move toward meaningful change. We need each other in order to become the best versions of ourselves.
